Assam getting ready for Bihu Guinness World record with 11000 Bihu participants on April 14 2023
On 14th April 2023 Assam will attempt the largest bihu dance in a single venue by over 11000 participants at Sarusajai Athletics Stadium in Guwahati city with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Governors, Chief Minister of all the states, ambassadors and high commissioners of the G20 countries and southeast Asian nations. This bihu dance will surpass the Kullu's record (which holds the record for largest Nati dance participated by 9,892 participants) in Himachal Pradesh which was performed on 26th October 2015.
The duration of this bihu dance will be of 15 minutes. An allowance of Rs 10500 will be given to all the participants to purchase two pairs of costumes for the bihu dance. Guinness World Records has given its initial clearance after receiving a sample video of Bihu dance from Government of Assam.
